St. Petersburg – The Tampa Bay community is invited to remember the lives lost to HIV/AIDS and support those living with the diseases at ASAP’s 23rd World AIDS Day Remembrance Dec. 1 at Suncoast Hospice community service center, 3050 1st Ave. S., St. Petersburg.

Guests will be served lunch at 11:30 a.m. and reflect in a powerful program of memorial bell tolling, prayer and music at noon. ASAP (AIDS Service Association of Pinellas, Inc.) is honored to come together for remembrance, awareness and giving thanks to its community for supporting its more than 27-year service to adults, children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. This event is free to attend and donations are welcome.

Trusted for its expertise and compassion, ASAP helps its HIV-positive clients cope with chronic illness challenges and live healthy lives. It provides medical case management, pharmacy services, group and individual counseling, basic need items and other services for clients and their families as well as works to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS through education, testing and advocacy. ASAP is a member of Empath Health, a not-for-profit integrated network of care created by Suncoast Hospice and its family of programs.

To reserve seats, RSVP by Nov. 28 to David Maier at 727-328-3263. Seating is limited. Visit myepic.org for more information on ASAP.
