Your Center for Sexual Health and Wellness

EPIC’s Sexual Health Center is a part of Empath Partners in Care, a member of Empath Health. The Center opened in the Summer of 2020 and has been serving the community by providing sexual health services at free or low cost as well as  education and prevention. As a part of EPIC, the Sexual Health Center continues the mission to be an agent of change to help eradicate HIV as well as other sexually-transmitted diseases, not only manage, but control symptoms so clients can live healthy, productive lives and provide services in a stigma-free and judgement-free space. 

Clinical Leadership

Nicole White, APRN is the Advanced Practical Registered Nurse at EPIC’s (Empath Partners in Care) Sexual Health Center in St. Petersburg. She oversees the clinical care and support of patients as well as other clinical staff. White joined EPIC in the fall of 2023 following graduating from the University of Tampa and receiving her APRN certification. She has more than 10 years of experience as a registered nurse including at West Florida Home Health in case management and home visits and Anthem Insurance as manager of the government business division. White received her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tampa, Bachelors of Science from the University of West Florida and her Associates from Hillsborough Community College.

 

Katherine Adelufosi, APRN-C, is an advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in obstetrics and geriatric nursing for the EPIC Sexual Health Center. She joined the Center in 2021 where she focuses on educating the community on HIV and other STI prevention. Previously Katherine was an APRN at the Genesis Women’s Center Tampa General Hospital where she managed high-risk pregnancies as well as other prenatal care. She received her APRN-C from Florida A&M University and a Bachelor of Science, Nursing and Gerontology from Bethune-Cookman University. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurses Council and the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
